Processing Large Amounts while Preserving Quality

Six heated aluminum plates, each measuring 10 X 4 X 1.5 inches, are sized specifically to accommodate micron bags up to 10 inches long and 3.5 inches wide. Bags limited to this width support both the highest yields and the best quality rosin. By keeping these bags close to the plate edge, they can yield the highest quality rosin, exposing all of it to as little heat as necessary.

Plates are strategically stacked one on top of another separated by springs, creating 5 gaps that can be compressed simultaneously by a single 25-ton hydraulic cylinder. Material on all 5 levels experiences the same timing, pressure, and temperature to maintain a consistent end product. This innovative configuration results in 5 pressing surfaces equivalent to using a single set of massive 50-inch by 4-inch plates, under 125 tons (250,000 lbs.) of compression.

The Procedure

Individual plate temperatures are controlled by six independent digital PID heat controllers. Our press comes with your choice of a 10,000 PSI Electric Hydraulic Pump, a Hand Hydraulic Pump, or both! An additional hand dial on the left side of the machine allows the user to manually control the rate of hydraulic pressure input with precision while monitoring the material in the stack.

When ready, the entire press body can tilt and lock at various angles up to 90 degrees to allow flowing oils to fall unobstructed in one direction towards a collection surface. Options include a stainless-steel collection tray and solid aluminum cooling plates. Cooling plates enable hot pools of oil to cool and be collected in minimal amount of time after leaving the material.

Capacity

Depending on product quality and methods used, expect to press between ½ to 1 pound of flower, or between 1 to 2 pounds of fine material at a time. Fully load all levels or partially load just one, and anything in between.
